Negotiation is the key for money in corporate world.


Most of the times we end up arguing instead of negotiating, because we lose our patience level or feel irritated after a point of time.
But we should remember that arguing and negotiating are totally different.
Arguing is required to prove something is right/wrong, it involves lot of EGO and involve lot of importance for “I”. This is for a short term.

Negotiating is done for more benefits . It’s for a long term. One needs to be more logical. All the points should be based on strong evidence. Knowing about the details of the opponent is very important. Need preparation.

You should know the how desperate is the company for your work.
-> What the company pays for other employees for the same role ?
 ->What is the max and min hike the employees get ?
-> Bonus for the new joiners.
-> Fixed and the variable part of the ctc.
-> At what intervals you get your variables paid ?
-> Types of internal growth.
 Etc
Are basic stuffs one need to know before you negotiate about your salary.
Most important thing is, one should never end up arguing in an negotiating environment.
